Why Use Palmetto Home and Deck?

When considering a person or a company to provide a service, you are making a decision as to whom to entrust with your valuable property.

What is the most important thing you think about in this decision? Is it the lowest price you can find?

If so there are plenty of contractors around that try to fill that bill. You will find companies that advertise something like all homes washed for $99.00. Some try to cut even that price in hopes getting a greater share of the business. We hear claims of these contractors washing over ten homes a day. Let's see, figuring drive time that leaves about forty-five minutes or less for one of these contractors to clean your home.

You are probably thinking you want the best job you can get. So what is wrong with getting your house washed in forty five minutes for $99.00 or less?

Well, actually there is nothing wrong with wanting that, but let's compare apples to apples and oranges to oranges and look at a few scenarios about what you may be getting for your money.

* The lady down in shipping says her brother-n-law has a pressure washer and will come over and wash your house for $75.00. A pressure washer can be a dangerous piece of equipment in the wrong or inexperienced hands. They are capable of producing a stream of water at 3,000psi or greater. He may be well meaning, but what do you do when he comes up and says he is sorry that he damaged the screens on your windows and blew the vinyl siding off the back of your house?

* You see a home-made sign nailed up on a light pole that says all homes washed for $80.00 and you give him a call. A guy pulls up and reaches over the back of the tail gate and lifts out a Wal-mart pressure washer and a brand X bottle of Clorox. He pours the Clorox into a hose end sprayer he also bought at Wal-mart and starts spraying down the house. His pressure washer only has 25' of hose so he has to pull his machine around with him as he goes. He comes back in a little while and says he is finished and wants his money. You ask why the gutters are still dirty and what is that cloudy looking stuff on all the windows? He tells you if he has to go get a ladder to scrub the gutters it will cost a lot more and that stuff must have been on the windows before he started.

* You come home and find a flyer stuck in your storm door that says XYZ Pressure Washing is running a spring special and all homes will be washed for $99.00. You have never heard of this guy before, but he did go to all the trouble to print out and deliver all those flyers and "what the heck"...he is cheap so you give him a shot. He shows up in a nice looking pick-up truck and has a little bit larger machine in back. He pours a half a bottle of Clorox in a bucket of water and sticks the siphon hose from his machine into this solution. You think you have found your guy. A few minutes later he comes to the door and says he is finished. The entire house is still soaking wet and looks nice and shinny. You pay him and as he drives off you notice the house is starting to look kind of streaky and looks dull as it is starting to dry. The green mold may be gone, but your house looks splotchy and he left wand marks all across your vinyl siding. You go in the house to call him. Then you notice water dripping through the ceiling. It is right under the gable vent that he blasted water into. You call and call, but never get him. You later find out he is not even licensed. Forget about him having insurance to replace your ceiling and refinish your hardwood floor.

The above scenarios may sound made up, but we have actually seen them for ourselves or have run into people that have experienced them.

"They say the bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low price has gone away."This holds true for a lot of things and as in your search for a professional power washing contractor you often do get what you pay for.

This does NOT mean we charge a fortune for what we do, but for what we do it DOES mean we charge a fair and honest price.

* For starters we are fully insured and licensed. We have a state specialty contractor's license and we make sure we have a license to work in every city we service. We will gladly provide a certificate of insurance upon request.

inside-of-trailer* Pressure cleaning homes and decks is not a part time job or add on service for us...we are in this full time. We pull a 7'x14' enclosed tandem axel trailer dedicated and fully equipped for professional pressure cleaning. Our rig is mounted inside the trailer and we have 300' of high pressure hose mounted on hose reels. We have the capability of washing 50'+ high while standing on the ground. All of our equipment is industrial grade and made to withstand the rigors of day in and day out professional use.

* The cleaning solutions we use are commercial grade as well and come only from supply houses that cater to cleaning and pressure washing professionals.

* We have the training and experience to safely clean your home without damaging your screens or blasting off your vinyl siding. It is our specially formulated cleaning solutions we use that clean your home and not the use of high pressure. The fact is we actually use very low pressure to clean your home. We pre-wet and rinse off all the plants and flowers around your home with the same pressure we use on the house it-self without harming a leaf or peddle.

* It generally takes us longer than forty five minutes to thoroughly clean a home. It is our aim to restore your home to as clean as new. Whether it is vinyl, wood, brick, stucco, or dryvit it will be as clean as possible. Your gutter exteriors will be clean. (That is not an extra like some other contractors charge for). Your walk way in front of your home will be cleaned up to 30' at no additional charge. Your front steps will be cleaned. Any white railings, columns or post generally look as if they were just painted. Think of house cleaning like a car wash. There are those coin operated places that knock the dirt off top then there are the detail shops that clean every nook and cranny. We are much like the detail shops of car washes except we clean every detail of your home's exterior.

* We have made a sizable invest in our company and we intend to be here for years to come. While we have worked hard to get where we are, but we know that we still have to work hard to earn and keep your confidence in us as your pressure washing contractor. We stand behind our work. We inspect every home we wash before we leave to make sure they have been cleaned as thoroughly as possible, but if you discover something you think we should have done better we will gladly come back to remedy of the problem.
